Our values

We think deeply about every decision we make. We hold ourselves and our partners to a high standard and aim to always do our best. When we make a mistake, we commit to sharing openly so everyone can learn and grow.

Integrity

We believe that a better food system will have more than enough to go around. We know that the more we share and give, the more we get in return. We give generously to others while maintaining the boundaries necessary to keep ourselves nourished.

Abundance

here we are with our gorgeous olives

We build fellowship around food to connect people to each other and their surroundings. We invest in the regions where we work and focus our efforts towards shared goals and interests. We believe our global community working toward a better food system has the power to affect great change.

Community

We recognize that the current US food system does not treat all its stakeholders equally. We actively address systemic inequality in the work that we do, using measurable goals to track our progress. We hold ourselves accountable to prevent and correct imbalances in our own business.

Equity

We believe everyone deserves to feel pleasure and happiness every day. We cultivate joy and share it freely with our community. We make time to express our gratitude for the opportunity we have been given to create meaningful change in people’s everyday lives.

Our vision

Marcellus Foods uses processing to connect eaters to regionally sourced food. We believe a regenerative transformation of our food system is critical to build social, economic and environmental resilience.

  • Catalyze the widespread transition to regenerative agricultural practices, improving product quality, nutrient density and biodiversity

  • Increase income and working conditions for farmers and food workers while lowering prices of regional, regeneratively produced food for consumers, businesses and institutions

  • Ensure access to sufficient, culturally-appropriate and nourishing diets for regional populations

  • Build wealth in disadvantaged and disinvested communities

We aim to:
